Green Boat Services is a small marine engineering business working in and around Oxfordshire.

We aim to resolve any problem presented on boats in and around Oxford. We make much use of social media such as facebook and twitter, and we have made a lot of friends and associates through this interaction. Our customer base extends from London to Lechlade to Leeds, and many of our customers are continuously cruising around the UK canal system.

Jon Ody is the Principal Engineer for Green Boat Services. From school he trained for four years as a marine engineer with the Royal Navy, before going on to study Robotics and Automated Systems at the University of Plymouth. Coming from a varied employment background, since 2009 he has been working as a freelance engineer working for the boating community on and around the waterways of Oxford.

Sam Dent is the Business Manager for Green Boat Services. Sam is a qualified chartered accountant, with more than ten years specialising in systems and change management in schools and charities, as well as providing accounting services to various waterway-based traders. Sam has been boating, primarily on canals, since early childhood, and has spent significant time restoring a variety of waterways with the Waterway Recovery Group. Sam has been a residential boater across the UK network for 20 of the past 25 years and is enthusiastic about sharing her experiences for the benefit of others.
